  COURTESY VISIT WITH THE DIRECTOR OF UST OFFICE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AND AFFAIRS After finishing DSM, I went to the College of Education to meet with the Director of International Relations and Affairs at the UST Office which is located in the main building. We were very well welcomed by them and chatted a lot about how our day in Manila was. They also gave us souvenirs in the form of hats and books. My friends and I went to the College of Education. We went to a restaurant called “Barbara's”. The place is very nice and very aesthetic.   DEMO TEACHING AND EVALUATION  October 02, 2023 Today is the day I have been waiting for for the past week. You could say today is the culmination of activities while here. Today my friends and I will carry out a Teaching Demo to evaluate our teaching here. I got the Grand Demo schedule at 11.05 a.m. - 1.55 p.m. in the Grade level 1-Fidelity class. I felt nervous because this was my first time doing full teaching. And finally, the time came for me to do a Grand Demo which was attended by supervisors and cooperative teachers from DSM. After the Grand Demo, we held a post-conference at the DSM library. I get input and suggestions regarding good teaching. I felt that there were many shortcomings in managing the class and not giving enough instructions to the students. But they are very good at providing input and suggestions regarding these things.   ASSISTANTSHIP, PRE TEACHING AT DSM In this third week, there was an information notification that the school would switch to online classes due to school policy which pays attention to weather conditions and students' health conditions. During this week, my friends and I took part in virtual assistantship and pre-teaching. However, sometimes we take lessons from school with our cooperating teacher.  Teaching Plan at DSM  During this week I prepared lesson plans and PowerPoint based on the material taught. On Tuesday, September 26, 2023, I carried out my first pre-teaching at DSM online. Then on Thursday, September 29, 2023, I did the second Pre-Teaching online. I took a teaching class at Grade level 1 with the subject of Art with the topic I Love to Draw Animals.

OBSERVATION IN DOMINICAN SCHOOL OF MANILA Pedagogical Contents  The teaching method that I observed during my time at DSM was classical learning w ith the teacher as the center of learning. The learning implementation procedure consists of Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaborate, Evaluate.  Learning in class begins with prayer then the teacher reviews the previous material and the teacher will explain the material to be learned using powerpoint. Monday, September 18th, 2023 is the first day I went to DSM school. Dominican School of Manila (DSM) is a private school located near the UST campus. In DSM itself there are various levels of schools starting from Nursery, Kindergarten, Grade levels 1-12. DSM is the partner school where I will teach. MABUHAY! Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Manila September 14th, 2023 At 01.00 a.m. we prepared boarding time for the flight. Next, we arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 05.50 Philippine time. We were invited by Ma'am Ailyn as International Relations Coordinator from the University of Santo Tomas. She is very friendly and beautiful. Along the way to the hostel we were explained about today's activity schedule. We were also explained about the names of roads around campus, the location of partner schools for future teaching, halal food places, hospitals and several schedules of upcoming activities.   Before starting to tell in more detail, I am very grateful and proud to have had this opportunity. This is the first time I can go abroad. And I will make it the most valuable experience in my life. And this is where my story begins. Solo Jebres Station September, 12th 2023 is the beginning of my journey. Today, Dela, Devira and I departed from Solo Jebres Station to Tugu Station, Yogyakarta. Arriving in Jogja at approximately 16.00 we went straight to the accommodation which was close to the station because our flight was tomorrow morning at 10.20 from Yogyakarta international Airport. We rested for a while at the inn then went out that night to look for fried rice in the Malioboro street, Jogja.
